Wangi Queen has a long and esteemed history as an event venue, with previous owner Graham Burgess hosting 16 short of 1000 weddings on this beautiful vessel; not to mention the thousands of birthday celebrations, wedding anniversaries and other events that have been hosted aboard The Queen during her 101 years of service!

Whether it’s a 21st, a 50th, a small wedding party of 30 or a golden wedding anniversary of 80, an end of year school formal or a high school reunion, we would be delighted to host your event aboard Wangi Queen.

We have a fully licensed bar & cafe on board, events can be self-catered, or we can cater the event for you.

If you choose us as your caterer, we will assist you in setting a per person budget, and design a menu that is both delicious and affordable. We are members of The Australian Food Safety Institute, all our crew are certified in the safe handling of food, and our HACCP Food Safety Plan ensures your guests safety in regards to all foods served aboard Wangi Queen..

If self-catering, our Food Safety Supervisor will work with you to ensure Australian Food Safety standards are followed and your guests experience a successful event.

There’s nothing better than letting someone else take care of the details, so you can enjoy the experience!

For weddings and milestone celebrations (eg birthdays, weddings and anniversaries), we recommend Debbie from Tillys Event Party Hire. Debbie is based in Tanilba Bay and can help with all aspects of your event – from theme planning, prop hire, balloon garlands and table decorations – so all you need to do is welcome your guests aboard for an amazing 3 hour cruise.

While we can comfortably host events above 100 guests, our Liquor License requires a security guard to be present for the duration of the cruise. To save on costs, we encourage limiting your event to under 100 guests.

Boarding for all private charters is available from Lemon Tree Passage and Taylors Beach. We can arrange boarding at Nelson Bay or Karuah for an additional $250 fee. This covers transport, fuel and crew wages to bring the vessel to your preferred location.

Our cruises take in the full grandeur of the bay – from breathtaking views of the entrance to Port Stephens as seen from Soldiers Point, to the beauty of Fame Cove, North Arm Cove, historic Tahlee and Carrington. Here in the western harbour of Port Stephens, you experience the best of both worlds. It is a magnificent body of water that stretches 24 kilometres from the mouth of the Karuah River to the South Pacific Ocean.
